Something For The Weekend
A CD collection that shows the band at their finest – recorded live in
1977 and 78 on tour in the UK. ‘Something For The Weekend’ is remastered,
eco-friendly, with a free carbon-neutral football, guaranteed to make history
poverty and is very easy to dance to at summit meetings. The first thousand copies
include a free copy of ‘Hello Boston!’, a live
performance by band’s writer/bassist Martin Gordon in Boston, 2007 – a strictly
limited offer.

Music For The Herd of Herring & Japanese Herring edition
Members of three legendary English bands from the 60s and 70s (OK, two then), get
together in 2000 to trawl through their back catalogues with aplomb. John’s Children, Jet
and Radio Stars are all represented here, and there’s even a bit of Sparks. (But not too
much). Idiosyncratic pop with a bit of wit, snappy tunes and lots of volume – who could ask
for more?
Given that all three bands shared members (and still do), it’s hard to decide the corporate
identity of the artists on ‘Music For The Herd Of Herring’. Late in 1999, fans of arrange a US debut for their heroes, Gordon joined singer Ellison, Townson and guitarist Boz Boorer (Marc Bolan being otherwise detained). A subsequent three-day tour of Europe in May 2000 resulted in this live CD. It’s loud.
The Japanese edition includes three bonus tracks - a Jet song ('Brian Damage'), Trevor White's 'Crazy Kids' and 'Radio Stars'. You can see how confusing it all was. |
